Ski lifts – Maximum confort minimum waiting
Les 3 Vallées have always been at the forefront in terms of ski lifts, some of them were even invented in Les 3 Vallées, like the FUNITEL in Val Thorens, technology exported today around the world.
The equation is very simple, more efficient ski lifts = less waiting and more skiing! In Les 3 Vallées, on a 7-hour day on the slopes, there are only 2 hours of queues, compared to 3 or 4 hours in the competing stations.
➡ After major construction works, the Cime Caron cable car in Val Thorens will be up and running in November to link this legendary peak. Underneath the lift, two Gazex avalanche control systems ensure the area is secure and open for skiers as fast as possible.
➡ The Saint Martin 1 gondola lifts have been replaced so customers can walk straight onto the new, high cabins. As a result, the capacity has jumped from 1,800 to 2,400 people transported per hour!
➡ At the foot of the pistes in Courchevel Le Praz, a new gondola lift with ten seats has just been opened. This lift reaches the centre of Courchevel 1850 in less than six minutes. A new multiservice building is opening this winter in Courchevel Le Praz at the arrivals area of of the FIS Alpine World Ski championships 2023. The Alpinium offers 500 parking spaces across two floors, a multimedia library with a games room and art rooms, and the new gondola lift station. A 0.6-mile blue piste has been opened for the new four-star hotel L’Ecrin Blanc opposite the Aquamotion centre in Courchevel Moriond, along with the four-person Grandes Combes chairlift leading to Courchevel 1850.
➡ Expect a bright, open space, a friendly welcome, and hostesses who know the ski area by heart in Méribel Mottaret, where the fully renovated sales and advice office offers the most enjoyable purchasing experience!
