NEW CHENUS GONDOLA: A FRESH TAKE ON AN ICONIC LIFT
After 55 years of service, the Chenus gondola in Courchevel 1850 is being completely renewed for winter 2025/2026. Designed by POMA, the new lift will feature 10-seater EVO 2 cabins and double its capacity to 2,400 people per hour. The route remains close to the current line, minimising environmental impact, while introducing sustainable innovations:
336 m² of solar panels on the top station and a rainwater recovery system collecting 750 m³ per year.
A new departure station on the snow front to improve flow and relieve congestion at Verdons.
An expanded top station with picnic room, public restrooms, and logistics facilities to reduce reliance on snowmobiles and grooming machines.
Fewer pylons (11 instead of 15) and an 8% reduction in energy consumption.
With a €20 million budget, this project sets a benchmark for innovation and environmental responsibility, including strong measures to protect biodiversity and the mountain landscape.

RENOVATION OF THE RHODOS GONDOLA: COMFORT MEETS MODERNITY
After 36 years of operation, the Rhodos gondola will undergo a major upgrade starting spring 2025, combining comfort, performance, and sustainability.
New POMA Diamond 8 cabins: seating for 8 or space for 10 standing passengers, offering greater room and comfort.
Technical upgrade: mechanical refurbishment of the stations and complete replacement of electrical installations.

NEW CÔTE BRUNE GONDOLA: A SMOOTHER CONNECTION BETWEEN THE VALLEYS
From winter 2025/2026, the iconic Côte Brune chairlift, in service since 1991, will be replaced by a state-of-the-art 10-seater gondola linking Méribel-Mottaret, Val Thorens and Les Menuires. With an investment of €25 million, this ambitious project will transform the skier experience by combining comfort, efficiency and sustainability.
Key new features include:
10-seater cabins offering sheltered comfort in all weather conditions.
Increased capacity: from 2,200 to 2,600 people per hour, with easier boarding thanks to two platforms.
Reduced visual impact: only 51 cabins compared to the former 128 chairs, and 11 fewer pylons.
Innovation and safety: real-time passenger information in the event of an interruption.
Strong environmental focus: on-site concrete production and treatment to reduce transport, fewer helicopter rotations, underground networks designed to protect sensitive areas, preservation of wetlands and protected species, and enhanced topographic monitoring.
With this new gondola, Côte Brune becomes a model of modernity and environmental responsibility, strengthening smooth connections at the very heart of Les 3 Vallées.


Brides-les-Bains
RENOVATED OLYMPE GONDOLA STATION: EASIER ACCESS FROM THE VALLEY
Méribel Alpina is investing €2.9 million to modernise the Olympe gondola station. Escalators, lifts, new ticket desks, ski pass machines and ski lockers will completely transform the visitor experience. This upgrade has been designed to provide maximum comfort from the moment you arrive in the resort.
The new building will feature:
Easier access for everyone thanks to a lift and a series of escalators, ensuring a smooth journey to the cabins, including for pedestrians and people with reduced mobility.
Automated lockers for easy storage of equipment, allowing visitors to move freely around the resort.
A spacious, light-filled architectural design with large windows, blending harmoniously with the local style and surrounding landscape.
A redesigned sales hall with ticket desks and automatic machines now located inside, making the welcome more comfortable and efficient.

ROC 2 CHAIRLIFT: GREATER CAPACITY FOR A STRATEGIC CONNECTION
As a key link within Les 3 Vallées, the Roc 2 chairlift has undergone a complete renovation, enhancing both flow and comfort.
A new 400 m² garage for full chair storage, improving equipment durability.
- 17 additional chairs, increasing capacity to 2,800 people per hour (up from 2,200).
Designed to better absorb peak visitor flows and guarantee a smoother ride uphill.
Les Menuires
PREYERAND CABLE CAR: IMPROVED RELIABILITY AND COMFORT
Connecting the main snow front to the Preyerand district, this iconic cable car retains its historic charm while embracing modern upgrades.
Renovated cabins offering greater comfort while preserving their recognisable look.
Reinforced door systems for improved safety and smoother operation.
Its unique set-up has been kept: cabins continue to travel in groups of three, a distinctive feature of this one-of-a-kind lift.

Val Thorens
REOPENING OF THE CIME CARON CABLE CAR
A true symbol of Val Thorens, the Cime Caron cable car is reopening this winter with two brand new cabins featuring a sleek, minimalist design by Swiss manufacturer Calag. With a speed of 11 m/s, a capacity of 1,500 people per hour and an investment of €3 million, this modernisation enhances access to the legendary summit of Les 3 Vallées, standing proudly at 3,200 metres.
Both skiers and pedestrians can now reach the Cime Caron more easily to admire a breathtaking 360° panorama of more than 1,000 Alpine peaks, an awe-inspiring spectacle at any time of year.
At the summit, the new Caron 3200 space, inaugurated last winter, invites visitors to relax and explore:
a panoramic restaurant,
- a wine bar,
an exhibition hall,
and a 260 m² rooftop serving light refreshments.
Designed like a nest anchored to the rock, with a glass façade opening onto the mountains, Caron 3200 has become a unique meeting place at the very heart of the Alps.
Val Thorens
NEW FACE NORD GONDOLA: DIRECT ACCESS TO WIDE-OPEN SPACES
Replacing the former Glacier and Col chairlifts, the new 10-seater Face Nord gondola improves flow and strengthens a key connection within the ski area. With 22 Doppelmayr cabins, a capacity of 1,450 people per hour and €15 million invested by SETAM, it provides easier access to the Asters and Face Nord slopes while offering a simplified link to Orelle via the Lory blue run.
Its 1,300-metre route with 320 metres of vertical rise ensures a sheltered and comfortable ride, while its layout allows for long, continuous descents down to the Moraine sector. Designed with sleek, mineral-inspired stations, the new gondola blends seamlessly into the high-altitude landscape.

CHAUDANNE LOUNGE MAKEOVER
Created in 2014 to provide a warm, sheltered space, the Chaudanne Lounge is being fully refurbished this autumn.
The goal is a more modern and welcoming design, focused on comfort and conviviality.

After a successful first season, the Montagnettes fun run returns this winter in an expanded and enhanced version.
Extended course: along the entire green Montagnettes slope, right at the entrance to La Croisette snow front.

Varied modules: arches, whoops and additional obstacles for the enjoyment of both young children and older skiers.

NEW 24/7 SKI PASS SALES AT LA CROISETTE
The resort is making life easier for skiers with the installation of six vending machines available 24/7 at the La Croisette ski pass sales point.

FRIENDLY NATURAL PARK
At Les Menuires, the Friendly Natural Park fun run is expanding and adding new features to offer families and young skiers an even more entertaining and educational experience.

ALTITUDE GALLERY: CONTEMPORARY ART IN THE HEART OF SAINT-MARTIN-DE-BELLEVILLE
Located opposite the town hall and just steps from the church, the Altitude Gallery is opening its doors for a cultural season dedicated to discovery.
Curated by Galerie L’Antichambre in Chambéry, founded in 2005 and dedicated to promoting contemporary creativity, the gallery showcases a wide range of artists:

Emerging and established,
Across disciplines: such as painting, sculpture, photography, installations and video.

SAINT-MARTIN-DE-BELLEVILLE MUSEUM: A VALLEY IN RELIEF
The Saint-Martin-de-Belleville museum now offers a unique immersive experience with a relief map of the valley brought to life by digital projections.
This new space reveals:
the history of human settlement in the valley,
- the evolution of landscapes over time,
- the development of ski resorts,
- the role of protected natural areas today.
Through a captivating sequence of images, visitors are transported from the earliest hamlets to the rise of Alpine tourism, while gaining insight into the challenges of a constantly evolving territory.
Both spectacular and educational, this innovative installation appeals to children and adults alike, enriching the discovery of the Belleville Valley.

Orelle
NEW COVERED PARKING: 743 SPACES AT THE FOOT OF THE SLOPES
Located at the base of the Orelle gondola, this new multi-storey car park with three to four levels adds 743 covered spaces to the existing 300 outdoor spots, bringing the site’s total capacity to over 1,000 vehicles.
743 spaces, including 80 equipped with electric charging points.
Investment: €9,025,000 (excl. tax), funded by SETAM/STOR.
On the mobility front, a new shuttle service will connect Saint-Michel-de-Maurienne train station to Orelle, aligned with train schedules, every weekend and during school holidays, from 22 November 2025 to 3 May 2026.
Ideally located just 6 km from the A43 motorway, this new facility enhances accessibility to Orelle, the secret gateway to Les 3 Vallées.

The restaurant Le 2800 has received the Sustainable Development Award from the Savoie Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a recognition that aligns with the CSR commitments of Les Menuires resort, supported by ADEME.

On January 15 and 16, 2026, two spectacular events will take place: the explosive Sprint, where every second counts, and the intense Vertical Race, a challenge of endurance and power.

Val Thorens will host the return of the Ice Cross World Championships on December 5 and 6, 2025.
Four riders race side by side on an ultra-technical ice track with jumps, banked turns and high-speed sections. This night competition promises an electrifying show where glide, combat and adrenaline meet at every descent.
SKI CROSS WORLD CUP – DECEMBER 11 & 12, 2025
For the 13th consecutive year, Val Thorens will host the Ski Cross World Cup on the Jean-Frédéric-Chapuis course, specially designed to combine spectacle and performance.
On December 11 and 12, 2025, the world’s best skiers will compete on a track filled with banked turns, jumps and rollers, where explosive starts can change everything. Between precision passes, strategy and control, the show promises to be total.
FREERIDE WORLD TOUR – JANUARY 24 TO 29, 2026
The Freeride World Tour returns to Val Thorens, the highest resort in Les 3 Vallées, for a week of pure adrenaline. From January 24 to 29, 2026, the world’s best skiers and snowboarders will push their limits on steep, untouched slopes.
