Coming to Les 3 Vallées: Parking

A stay in Les 3 Vallées means you can look forward to an oasis of calm that breaks up the frantic pace of daily life. It’s a rewarding opportunity to focus on yourself and what really matters, giving your batteries a full recharge. So why not take advantage of the chance to shake things up even more by enjoying a car-free break between your resort arrival and departure?

Contrary to what you might think, it’s an easy option to put into practice, perhaps even easier than if you were in the middle of a town centre! And you can spare yourself the stress and organisation of having to prepare for, among other things, driving on snow, clearing the car of snow and ice, and finding parking spaces.

On foot, by free shuttlebus, and even by gondola lift

What a joy it is to rid yourself of your car keys for the duration of your stay and get around the resort on foot. It’s the best option for roaming around, getting a sense of the destination, and immersing yourself in the mountain atmosphere. Another option is the very extensive range of high-quality, free shuttlebuses available in every 3 Vallées destination in Courchevel, Méribel, Brides-les-Bains, Les Menuires, Saint-Martin-de-Belleville, Val Thorens and Orelle.

They guarantee – mostly 7 days a week over a long range of time slots – service from the heart of resorts to hamlets and resort districts, as well as between resorts, such as the shuttlebus that runs between Saint-Martin-de-Belleville and Val Thorens via Les Menuires, or the one that runs between Brides-les-Bains and Courchevel.

USEFUL TIPS

Find the nearest car park

Find the nearest car park to your accommodation and book it in advance, especially in Val Thorens, a semi-pedestrianised resort where you have to book at least 7 days before arrival, but also if you’re staying in the vicinity of Courchevel and Méribel.

Drop-off point

Use the drop-off point in front of your hotel, chalet, or apartment to drop off friends, family, and luggage.

Pre-book the car parking space

Park your car at a pre-booked or free car parking space depending on the resort, such as Saint-Martin-de-Belleville for example, and then walk to your accommodation on foot (perfect for stretching your legs after a long drive), or using a free shuttlebus.

Advice for outside parking space

Remember to make a note of your parking space if it’s outside. This is a top tip is much in Les 3 Vallées, as a car can disappear beneath a blanket of snow in a matter of hours here!!
