3 days of skiing offered in Los Tres Valles de Los Andes, Chile

Your Les 3 Vallées Unlimited Season Pass gives you access to 3 days of skiing in the resorts of Valle Nevado and La Parva, in the heart of the Chilean Andes. Together, these two resorts make up the largest ski area in South America: Los Tres Valles de Los Andes.

When the snow has long since melted in the Alps, the ski season in Los Tres Valles de Los Andes begins its winter season in June, as winter arrives with the start of summer in the Southern Hemisphere.

LOS TRES VALLES DE LOS ANDES: THE LARGEST SKI AREA IN SOUTH AMERICA

Just 90 km from Santiago and its international airport, Valle Nevado and La Parva together form the largest ski area on the South American continent.

Nearly 1,700 hectares,

80 marked runs,

a maximum altitude of 3,670 metres,

and exceptional snow quality, dry and light thanks to the Andean climate.

A unique mountain setting, framed by peaks rising above 5,000 metres. As you climb up from the capital, you enter a vast mineral world of dizzying scale. Here, the mountains are not covered in conifer forests as they are in Europe or North America, but instead reveal a raw landscape shaped by the winds of the Pacific.

Los Tres Valles de Los Andes is the beating heart of South American winter sports.

Thanks to the exclusive reciprocal agreement included with your Les 3 Vallées Unlimited Season ski pass, you can enjoy 3 complimentary ski days at these two major local resorts with distinctly different personalities: Valle Nevado and La Parva. While they share the same mountain setting, each offers a very different experience, making them perfectly complementary for skiers in search of summer snow.

Skiing here in July or August means enjoying exceptionally dry powder snow, guaranteed by the remarkable altitude of the resorts, both located at close to 3,000 metres, beneath the bright, piercing Andean sun. It is the striking contrast between the European summer you have just left behind and the deep, pure, untamed winter of the Southern Hemisphere.

2 RESORTS INCLUDED IN THE LES 3 VALLÉES RECIPROCAL AGREEMENT

In the heart of the Andes, two iconic resorts open their slopes to skiers through the Les 3 Vallées reciprocal agreement: Valle Nevado and La Parva. Set at high altitude, they offer a spectacular playground overlooking the peaks of the Andes, some of which rise above 5,000 metres.

Inspired by the model of the great Alpine resorts, Valle Nevado stands out for its vast ski area, wide-open spaces and international reputation in the world of freeride and heliskiing.

Just a few kilometres away, La Parva offers a more intimate, sport-driven atmosphere. Highly popular with technical skiers and national teams in training, it is known for its demanding terrain and breathtaking views over Santiago and the Andes.

Two complementary ways to experience skiing in the Andes, shaped by wide-open spaces, commitment and high mountain adventure.

VALLE NEVADO: THE FREERIDE GIANT

Created in the late 1980s, Valle Nevado is Chile’s most modern and most international resort. Inspired by European ski resorts, it stands proudly against the jagged peaks of the Andes. It is South America’s undisputed stronghold for freeride, freestyle skiing and snowboarding.

Beyond its wide, impeccably groomed runs, Valle Nevado is also renowned for heliskiing. The sheer scale of its off-piste terrain is breathtaking. Freeriders from around the world come here to carve through untouched snow, enjoying vertical drops of more than 2,000 metres after being dropped by helicopter onto isolated ridgelines overlooking Chile’s central valley.

The ski area’s ideal aspect guarantees snow of exceptional quality, the legendary Andean powder: light, cold and lingering for several days after storms roll in from the Pacific Ocean.

LA PARVA: TECHNICAL ELEGANCE

If Valle Nevado embodies a modern, international outlook, La Parva reflects the authentic soul of Chilean skiing. A favourite with Santiago’s elite, whose elegant chalets cling to the mountainside, it is a resort blessed with extraordinary panoramas, especially at sunset, when glowing red light spills down towards the Chilean capital below.

Above all, La Parva is a true paradise for advanced and technical skiers. The terrain is complex, cut through with natural gullies ("quebradas") and dramatic cornices. Its steep off-piste areas demand commitment and control.

This is where northern hemisphere alpine ski teams come to train during their summer, drawn by the quality of the grooming, the sustained gradient of its FIS-approved runs, and the intimate atmosphere of a high-altitude village devoted to sporting excellence.
