PÉCLET FUNITEL LIFT

PÉCLET FUNITEL LIFT

From the resort centre, where all the accommodation boasts “ski in/ski out” access, head to the Péclet Funitel. The lift is the result of technology patented by SETAM, Val Thorens’ ski lift company: attached to two cables, its cabins have the advantage of being much more stable in windy conditions. Val Thorens has a total of four, which are much appreciated at high altitude!

UNINTERRUPTED VIEWS OVER THE AIGUILLES DE PÉCLET

UNINTERRUPTED VIEWS OVER THE AIGUILLES DE PÉCLET

Set at an altitude of 3,000 metres, the arrival station of the Funitel offers breath-taking views over the Aiguilles de Péclet, overlooking the entire Val Thorens valley. Head to the Tête Ronde blue run for a first descent marked by wide curves, easy turns, and carving… what a way to start your day!

LE BOUCHET GLACIAL VALLEY

LE BOUCHET GLACIAL VALLEY

Vallon Glaciaire du Bouchet Val Thorens Orelle

Take the Portette chairlift, then the Thorens Funitel. At the summit, head left to La Lory blue run. Enter a totally different world as you pass through Le Bouchet glacial valley, a wild stretch that’s a world away from modernity. There, you’ll hear only:

silence,

the wind,

and the call of jackdaws.

You’re in the Orelle sector, on Les 3 Vallées’ Maurienne side. Enjoying an excellent location, this quiet sector enjoys permanent sunshine: it’s one of Les 3 Vallées’ ski area’s hidden treasures. A real gem!

CIME CARON, THE JEWEL OF VAL THORENS

Cime Caron Val Thorens in Les 3 Vallées
Cime Caron

Board the Orelle-Caron gondola lift, which was renovated in December 2021 to offer faster access to one of Les 3 Vallées’ legendary summits: Cime Caron (3,200 metres) and its stunning panorama.

With a 360° view, see over 1,000 Alpine summits unfurl before you:

Mont Blanc,

La Grande Casse,

Les Aiguilles d’Arves,

La Barre des Écrins… and so many more!

An astonishing experience before unforgettable sights. After drinking it all in, head to the Cime Caron cable car to get back down, then take the Gentiane run to the Boismint chairlift.

THE BOISMINT SUMMIT

THE BOISMINT SUMMIT

The view is just as spectacular at the top of the summit.

On one side, the Belleville Valley.

On the other, Val Thorens and the Péclet massif.

Sunny from the early morning, the sector is brimming with beautiful wide, easy, and little-used runs. Depending on what you want to do, you can opt for one of two blue runs, Le Blanchot or Le Tétras… or treat yourself to both by riding back up on the Plan de l’Eau chairlift. The perfect combination for a gentle route back to the resort!
