Val Thorens is first and foremost a paradise for snowsports in all their forms. Thanks to exceptional snow cover and the way the slopes are naturally configured, there’s something to suit all snowsports abilities: the easier options are closer to the resort while the further out you venture, the more technical challenge you’ll find.
In terms of facilities, Val Thorens resort also offers a snowpark, boardercross, the VT Fun ride – a run that’s adapted to suit the whole family which is perfect for a first snowsports experience and can be followed up by the FamilyPark VT run where freestylers can perform their first tricks, a slalom stadium, a 6-kilometre toboggan run, and another smaller toboggan run just for children…

From Val Thorens, set off to tackle Les 3 Vallées, the world’s largest ski area, with 600 kilometres of runs accessible to skiers of all abilities.
Over 330 runs, almost half of which are easy and half are expert, ensuring that there’s something to keep everyone happy.
2 Zip line
From Orelle to Val Thorens, suspended from a steel cable in a fabric cocoon that takes you over 100 kilometres an hour, experience the thrill of being a large bird of prey soaring over infinite space.
1,300 metres of gliding flight, 1 minute 45 seconds of pure pleasure against breath-taking panoramic views, from the highest point in Les 3 Vallées at 3,230 metres, to the top of Le Bouchet chair lift on the Orelle ski area, linking the top of Val Thorens, at 3,000 metres, to the top of the Thorens Funitel.

3 Cime Caron – The best view of the alps
Do you love the mountains? Then whether you’re a skier or on foot, you’re going to love Cime Caron!
Climb aboard one of the Caron cable car’s panoramic cabins and let one of the most beautiful views of the Alps gradually unfurl in front of you. An uninterrupted view over Mont-Blanc and a 360° panoramic view over more than 1,000 summits in the French, Italian and Swiss Alps.
4 The COSMOJET toboggan run!
The famous toboggan run is now completely kitted out with a space theme. Tobogganers are invited to set off in search of a new planet over the course of a 6-kilometre run that’s packed with fun surprises and dotted with scientific facts for learning while having fun!

6 Peclet By Night
Do you like the sound of sunset skiing?
Until the end of the season, enjoy the day’s final rays of sun from the top of the Péclet Funitel. Hurtle down the Tête Ronde and Christine runs again and again, each Wednesday, between 5pm and 6.30pm.
7 Fun areas and snowparks
Having fun on skis is the essential ingredient for a great holiday! To make sure that there’s something to keep everyone happy, Val Thorens offers the chance to get started or hone your skills in a range of fun zones.
You can begin on the VT Fun ride, a run adapted for the whole family that’s perfect for beginners, and then move on to the FamilyPark VT run to try out your first tricks!
Finally, if you have the skills, head to the snowpark’s ultra-creative modules to see freestyle skiing and snowboarding pros in action!
8 Ski touring
Following last year’s inauguration of the Camille run, the resort is growing its ski touring offer with 4 new itineraries. The choice is yours –climb up the mountain and soak up views of the majestic Aiguilles de Péclet or La Cime Caron for a change of scenery, and rediscover the Val Thorens ski area. (Ski back to the resort using runs)
Available: 2 to 6-kilometre trails that allow skiers to make gentle progress and discover the discipline of ski touring.
9 Sports centre
Extending over more than 7,500m³ indoors, enjoy an aqua area with two swimming pools, a Jacuzzi, steam room and relaxation area, as well as a fitness centre, fun park and the délir’park adventure attraction, as well as a huge range of other activities for all ages!
