BEFORE YOUR DEPARTURE

Vaccination and health pass - Explanations

REMINDER

The health pass was required for anyone aged 12 to 15.

The health pass consisted of the presentation, in digital or paper form, of one of the following three health proofs:

- Vaccination, provided that a complete vaccination schedule is available ;

- A negative test (PCR or antigen tests) less than 24 hours old ;

- The result of a positive RT-PCR test attesting to the recovery of Covid-19, at least 11 days old and less than 6 months old. Please note that you must be able to present a QR Code.

What is the vaccination pass?

The "vaccination pass" consisted of the presentation of one of these three proofs:

- Vaccination certification (complete vaccination schedule, booster dose included in the time limit for people from 18 years and 1 month who are eligible).
For 16-17 year olds, booster doses are not compulsory: "The vaccination pass will be valid subject to a complete primary vaccination schedule", says the Ministry of Health ;

- Certificate of Reinstatement more than 11 days and less than 6 months old. Note that you must be able to show a QR Code ;

- Certificate of contraindication to vaccination. The persons concerned are thus issued a document by their doctor that can be presented in places where the "vaccination pass" is required.

Please note: the "vaccination pass" did not apply to minors aged 12 to 15. It is therefore the "health pass" - which includes the additional possibility of presenting proof of a negative test of less than 24 hours - which remains in place for this age group.

FOR TRAVELLERS FROM UNITED KINGDOM

Since 31st March the UK has been placed on the green list by France. Travellers, regardless of their vaccination status, no longer need to present a sworn statement or have a compelling reason to travel to France from the UK.

Unvaccinated travellers must present a negative PCR test result less than 72 hours old or an antigenic test less than 48 hours old to the transport company and to the border control authorities before departure (departure of the first flight in the case of a connection), or a certificate of recovery (a positive result to a PCR or antigenic test carried out more than 11 days and less than six months previously. This certificate is only valid for six months from the date of the examination or test).

FOR TRAVELLERS FROM THE EUROPEAN UNION

Proof of a complete vaccination schedule is sufficient to arrive in France, regardless of the country of origin.

For unvaccinated travellers, the obligation to present a negative test to travel to France remains, but the measures on arrival (test, isolation) are lifted when they come from countries on the "green" list, characterised by moderate circulation of the virus.

When unvaccinated travellers come from a country on the "orange" list, they must continue to present a compelling reason justifying the need to come to metropolitan France and may still be subject to a random test on arrival. Travellers who test positive will have to isolate themselves, in accordance with the recommendations of the Health Insurance.

What proof of vaccination should be provided?

The vaccines accepted by France are those recognised by the European Medicines Agency (EMA): Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca/Vaxzevria/Covishield and Johnson & Johnson.
