ANNOUNCEMENTS OF 01/08/22 - END OF VACCINATION & HEALTH PASS AND MASK WEARING
The law putting an end to the exceptional regimes created to fight the epidemic linked to Covid-19 was promulgated on 31 July 2022, after its full validation by the Constitutional Council. The text notably puts an end to the "health pass", and formally repeals, as of 1 August, the part of the public health code relating to the state of health emergency as well as the health crisis management regime, marking the return to common law.
It is no longer compulsory to wear a mask in establishments open to the public or on public transport.

BEFORE YOUR DEPARTURE
Vaccination and health pass - Explanations
REMINDER
The health pass was required for anyone aged 12 to 15.
The health pass consisted of the presentation, in digital or paper form, of one of the following three health proofs:
- Vaccination, provided that a complete vaccination schedule is available ;
- A negative test (PCR or antigen tests) less than 24 hours old ;
- The result of a positive RT-PCR test attesting to the recovery of Covid-19, at least 11 days old and less than 6 months old. Please note that you must be able to present a QR Code.
What was the vaccination pass?
The "vaccination pass" consisted of the presentation of one of these three proofs:
- Vaccination certification (complete vaccination schedule, booster dose included in the time limit for people from 18 years and 1 month who are eligible).
For 16-17 year olds, booster doses are not compulsory: "The vaccination pass will be valid subject to a complete primary vaccination schedule", says the Ministry of Health ;
- Certificate of Reinstatement more than 11 days and less than 6 months old. Note that you must be able to show a QR Code ;
- Certificate of contraindication to vaccination. The persons concerned are thus issued a document by their doctor that can be presented in places where the "vaccination pass" is required.
Please note: the "vaccination pass" did not apply to minors aged 12 to 15. It is therefore the "health pass" - which includes the additional possibility of presenting proof of a negative test of less than 24 hours - which remains in place for this age group.

- Travellers no longer need to present a sworn declaration that they are not infected with COVID-19 and pledge to take an antigen test or biological exam upon arrival in France. This also applies to travel between mainland France and each of the overseas territories.
