Day 1: Le Villard des Allues → Trait d'Union Mountain Refuge

Your adventure begins at the Le Villard des Allues parking area, a charming mountain hamlet easily accessible from Méribel. After passing through the village, you will follow a forest trail, where the only sounds are birdsong and the soft crunch of branches beneath your feet.
As you gain altitude, you will reach the La Traie plateau, where two mountain refuges provide a perfect first stop with a stunning view over the valley. The ascent continues towards the Col de la Lune, a wild and unspoiled pass, before reaching the ridge of Dos du Crêt Volland. From here, your gaze is lost in endless mountain horizons, with contrasting peaks and valleys stretching before you.
Your journey then leads to the Grand Lac, followed by a final balcony descent, bringing you to the Trait d'Union Mountain Refuge, where you will spend the night in a warm and friendly atmosphere.



Day 2: Trait d'Union Mountain Refuge → Le Villard des Allues

After a restful night under the stars, the trek continues towards Pas de Cherferie, where a final breathtaking panorama awaits before the descent. The trail then winds along a balcony path above Le Raffort, offering unobstructed views over the valleys and villages below.
You will continue towards Chandon and the Chapelle Saint Claude, a historic mountain landmark. Passing through a final stretch of shaded forest, you will arrive back at Le Villard des Allues, completing your two-day journey through the lower valleys.
