Great tastes and gorgeous views

Smoothies, teas and blueberry tarts: our favourite spots for delicious breaks and breathtaking panoramas!

At the CamCake patisserie and tea room in Brides-les-Bains, pastry chef Camille invites you to discover her different creations, including brioche, raspberry macarons and hazelnut cupcakes, accompanied by an excellent tea or homemade hot chocolate.

On the pistes of Courchevel, sat around a fire on the fully south-facing outdoor terrace of La Cave des Creux, foodies can indulge in homemade desserts from a buffet. The hardest part is choosing which one to have!

In this exceptional setting, there’s nothing better than enjoying a Val Thorens dessert, a specialty at La Maison, a restaurant in the eponymous resort!

Perched at 6,300 feet of elevation, Le 1928 at the top of the col de la Loze between Courchevel-La Tania and Méribel offers the chance to enjoy sophisticated cuisine while taking in the impressive panoramic views.

Chez Pépé Nicolas in Les Menuires is headed up by a family who revamped the mountain refuge owned by Nicolas Jay, an alpine farmer and former mayor of Saint-Martin. The view over the vallon du Lou is breathtaking, and the meals are fresh, local, and packed with flavour. Accessible by road and via the pistes.

Whatever the time of day, Le Rendez-Vous at the foot of the slopes in Val Thorens offers a welcoming setting for foodies looking to enjoy an unforgettable Paris-Brest dessert!

In Saint-Martin-de-Belleville, the “La Rissole” patisserie is now serving Le Bellevillois, a house specialty made with blueberries and frangipane. Perfect with a tea or a coffee, to eat in or take away!

At the foot of the pistes in Méribel, indulge in an exceptional culinary experience with a blueberry tart from La Cantine d’Alvar.

Seeing is believing…

Baroque art was created to glorify God and muster the Christian faith during the 16th century. With around 80 edifices devoted to this unique style, Baroque is a singular feature of the French Alps and the Savoie département. With the “Baroque Escapades in the Alps” programme, the Facim* Foundation takes people back through time along the royal roads leading from Turin to Nice and Chambéry via the mountain passes. Follow in the footsteps of those who once walked Les 3 Vallées…
