Guaranteed snow cover and velvety ski slopes

The natural qualities of Les 3 Vallées

As well as the size, the ski area quality is crucial for skiers: the snow, maintenance, ease of flow, run quality and grooming, as well as the quality of the ski lifts. That's where Les 3 Vallées stands out.
Les 3 Vallées guarantees quality snow cover throughout the season: minimum skiable altitude of 1,300 metres, maximum at 3,230 metres, covering 85% of the ski area above 1,800 metres, 25 accessible summits including 10 over 2,500 metres and over 2,100 snow groomers servicing 1/3 of the ski area.

Guaranteed snow

Thanks to the nature of the domain and the numerous placement of snow canons (2383 snow canons covering more than 50% of the ski area), Les 3 Vallées area is able to guarantee snow cover on its ski area which is also maintained by 73 grooming machines each night.
Les 3 Vallées pistes are situated between 1100m and 3230m of altitude and 85% of the ski area is above 1800m. The capacity of snowmaking as well as the high altitude and topography of the whole ski area and the connexions between the valleys (Always above 2000 m of altitude) guarantee snow throughout the winter.

The grooming of Les 3 vallées slopes : a superior craftsmanship

After fresh snow has fallen, or been produced by snowmakers, the piste groomers, or night owls jump into action while the rest of the resort sleeps. Les 3 Vallées boasts 70 piste grooming machines, driven by a total of 160 piste groomers who work in shifts throughout the night: the first team work from 5pm to midnight and the second from midnight to 7am.
The slopes are maintained every night, with priority given to green, blue and red runs and Les 3 Vallées connecting routes; the black runs aren't maintained systematically in a bid to provide more enjoyment to fans of moguls and walls.
