Coaching: our advice before skiing, during… and after!
The advice of Timothée Théaux before, during… and after skiing! Timothée Théaux, ski instructor at Val Thorens and a professional freerider, gives us his advice for a well prepared day on the slopes of the 3 Vallées.
“Before going skiing, I always read the BERA (Avalanche Risk Estimate Bulletin)
and the weather forecast to prepare my itinerary for the day. Then I consult the state of the PIDA (Avalanche Release Action Plan) to know which slopes and links are open in the 3 Vallées.
“During my day out, I try not to forget to hydrate myself and eat right to enhance my energy level to the maximum throughout my day. I also use a lot of the following apps to find my way around our mountains: the maps on the 3 Vallées app and on IphiGénie the IGN maps.“
“After the lifts have closed, I like to have a good time around a beer, debriefing, thinking back over the key passages of the day and preparing for the next one.”
Sk’e-bike: Les 3 Vallées, all year round!
To discover what lies at the end of the road, of course! Whether breathtaking views, an unmissable picnic spot, or a jacuzzi (really!), the mountain has more than a few tricks in its hiking backpack to entice you onto its paths!
