Make the most of Les 3 Vallées with total piece of mind !

Les 3 Vallées ski lifts are open from July 4th to August 28th 2020.

To ensure peace of mind when using the ski lifts during these unprecedented times, Les 3 Vallées ski area management teams are following the national health and safety guidelines, as well as their own charters, whilst implementing joint health and safety regulations. Whilst they have adapted the way they operate to take these new rules and guidelines into account, they are also appealing to individuals to take responsibility for their own actions and to resort.

Our «naturally pure» mountain playground

Our mountain playground is a natural source of well-being, and you’re sure to be blown away by its sheer size from whichever summit you find yourself on in Les 3 Vallées.

As is the case for all public transport in France, this summer we are maintaining the same passenger flow but are adapting the ski lift rules to ensure peace of mind for both users and employees. The rules are straightforward: when you get to the top you can remove your mask and make the most of the fresh air, breath-taking views and stunning landscapes.

Here are a few simple protective measures:

  • All passengers over the age of 11 MUST wear a mask
  • Social distancing rules must be respected in queues, at sales outlets, in picnic rooms and public toilets. These rules do not apply when using the ski lifts.
  • The enclosed ski lift cabins and public toilets will be cleaned daily.
  • Courchevel and Méribel valley skipasses can be recharged online, and are also available at the sales outlets. Skipass cards are available at the sales outlets and in Courchevel and Méribel’s tourist offices. In the Belleville valley, they can be purchased from operating gondola lifts only. Please use contactless payment wherever possible.

➡ Question : Do face masks need to be worn on ski lifts?

Masks MUST be worn from the ski lift entry gate until the end of the gondola lift, cable car or chairlift journey for anyone OVER THE AGE OF 11. This rule also applies to the «Speedmountain» toboggan run on rails in Les Menuires.

Masks are available to purchase in the pharmacies, at the departure point of certain ski lifts (Tougnète gondola lift in Méribel), in some sales outlets (Saint Martin and Roc 1 chairlifts, Speedmountain in Les Menuires and Saint Martin) and in some resort tourist offices.

➡ Question: What hygiene measures are being carried out in the ski lift arrival and departure stations, and in public places (toilets…) ?

You can wash your hands with soap and water in the public toilets and with the hand sanitiser available for that purpose in the departure/arrival stations. Surfaces and objects used by many different people, such as credit card machines, bank note and card readers, door handles, railings, surfaces and payment counters will be regularly cleaned, as will all premises open to the public.

➡ Question: How are you limiting unnecessary contact?

As well as being available to purchase in sales outlets, you can also recharge your Courchevel or Méribel valley skipass online, meaning you won’t have to wait in a queue, therefore keeping contact to a strict minimum. If you don’t have a rechargeable skipass card, you can get one from the sales outlets and tourist offices in Courchevel and Méribel. In the Belleville Valley (Saint Martin, Les Menuires and Val Thorens), they  are available to purchase at the gondola lift departure points only.

Those who prefer to pay and collect their ski lift pass from the sales outlet will be asked to pay by credit or debit card wherever possible using contactless payment.

➡ Question: Is there a capacity limit?

Gondola lift, cable car and chairlift capacity is not restricted. As is the same for public transport, masks MUST be worn and users must respect the recommended social distancing.

➡ Question: How is your ski lift personnel protected?

Just as we want to keep our visitors safe, it goes without saying that the same applies to our personnel. General measures such as hand hygiene, social distancing and regular cleaning of shared surfaces, equipment and premises have been implemented. Masks MUST be worn by all sales staff, ski lift personnel etc.
